Giving You More Options

We are always about making things easier for our valuable customers. Starting today, we are accepting payment by credit and debit card. All of the usual suspects will be accepted...Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, and Discover Card. While we are more than happy to offer better payment options, credit card processing is a big expense for any small business to bear. To make it work and to be fair, you may see a small surcharge (1%-2%) on some low-margin items purchased with credit/debit. Please understand that we are not passing all of the added burden onto you, but rather sharing it. We hope this is a value-added option in the long term.

2024 Holiday Schedule

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. I just wanted to put this out there before the upcoming holiday season since we tend to transfer many guns that are given as gifts. We will be closed (unavailable) from Tuesday, December 24th, through Thursday, December 26th. We will have normal availability on Friday and Saturday, following Christmas. We will hold normal hours of availability on both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Have a wonderful holiday season and a very Merry Christmas!

Summer break is over, and it's back to school. Really all this means is I will be taking a mid-day break on weekdays to perform administrative tasks and dad duties. The break will be from 1400-1530, Monday through Thursday. These will be hard times with very little flex

Class 3 SOT / NFA Dealer

After nine years as an 01-FFL, we have finally embraced the dark side and acquired our Class 3 Special Occupational Taxpayer (SOT) stamp. We are now "allowed" to buy/sell/transfer silencers, short-barreled rifles, and short-barreled shotguns. The plan is to become a "Powered By Silencer Shop" dealer and sell every single one of you a can...just make sure you're on board with the plan. Check back here for news when that dealership is established. It won't be long.

Services

Armorer/Gunsmithing

Our firearm knowledge is based on a keen understanding of firearm design, function, and repair. It's crucial to know what each part of a firearm is responsible for, or doing, at any point in the gun's cycle of operations in order to accurately assess problems. This allows us to efficiently correct the issue and not just go through a series of part replacements that cost both more time and money.

We offer a good number of armorer and gunsmithing related services. We are constantly working to gain knowledge and increase capabilities, but we admit that we aren't capable of fixing everything that comes our way. You can trust that we will give you an honest assessment when it comes to your firearm.

Our hourly rate (man hours) for general repair is $45/hr.

Hourly rate (machine hours) is $55/hr.

Minimum labor charge is $25.

Parts are charged at cost plus any shipping if ordered.

We do provide estimates for jobs...just contact us or book an appointment to bring your firearm in.

Sales

We are not a retail store with a huge inventory. We are a small, services-oriented shop that happens to stock a few guns and gun parts for our local customers and gun builder base.

That being said, we do hold a 01-Dealer FFL/Class 3 SOT, and we maintain accounts with dozens of suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers. So, if you are looking for a specific item, and believe in keeping your money close to home...give us a call. We may be able to get you what you're looking for.

When you consider that most online firearm retailers are now imposing sales tax along with exorbitant shipping fees, you'll most likely find that you paid more for that firearm after the FFL transfer fee is applied. When placing a special order through us you will often find there is a cost savings over that big, online dealer...especially in our shop where overhead costs are very low.

Laser Engraving

We offer high quality laser engraving services using a powerful 50-watt fiber laser specifically designed for the manufacturing industry.

We can create a one-of-a-kind piece or copy a favorite existing design for the ultimate firearm customization (costs vary).

Of course, we also do ATF compliant engravings for your NFA items. Costs for this service ranges from $30 for a completely stripped receiver to $40 for a fully assembled receiver/firearm.

In most cases the firearms in for ATF engravings can be picked up the same day.

FFL Transfers

Most dealers try to punish you with outrageous transfer rates because you didn't buy from them, and some won't even accept transfers from other dealers, period. We don't blame you for finding the best deal on your guns. We accept incoming transfers from just about any source, and we have the most competitive transfer rates in Okaloosa County. We also offer deep multiple firearm discounts to boot.

OUTGOING TRANSFERS

We offer a hassle-free, one-stop solution for non-licensees who like selling on the popular gun auction sites. The flat rate fee includes packaging, $500 insurance, and shipping with a premium carrier. All you need to do is bring us the firearm, your state-issued ID, and the receiving FFL and transferee information...too easy.

Flat rate for one handgun to the lower 48 is $50. Rate is $70 for shipment to Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, or Puerto Rico. Reduced per gun rate for multiple, similar firearms shipping to the same FFL.

Additional insurance beyond the $500 provided can be purchased at a rate of $2 per $100 required.

NFA TRANSFERS

If you buy from us, there is no additional fee beyond the cost of the item and the Tax Stamp ($200). If you are purchasing from a third-party dealer, and having the item sent to us to initiate/file the ATF Form 4, we charge $75/item. This fee includes efiling of each Form 4 with all attachments (fingerprints, photo, trust, etc.), online payment of Tax Stamp fee, and filing the 4473 upon approval of the Form(s) 4.

Custom Cerakote estimates and services for firearms.

Cerakote/KG Gunkote

Here are a couple of truths about ceramic coating application...

1) It can take a long time to do correctly.

2) It can be quite expensive.

3) Bad applications cost just as much as great application.

4) Most applicators are not certified.

The process behind good cerakote is time-intensive and loaded with technical specifications. Done hastily or incorrectly the resulting finish is no more durable than a typical "rattle can" finish. Good cerakote, done by a Certified Applicator, is a flawless, protective shield that will last a lifetime.

We are currently working to publish some base pricing for this service, but for now you'll have to contact us for estimates and turnaround times on your specific project.

Gun Cleaning

Let's face it...cleaning guns sucks, and nobody in their right mind enjoys doing it. While it is messy, tedious, time-consuming, and sometimes just plain difficult, it is also necessary. I don't know how many guns we've taken in for repair that just needed to be cleaned to become functional again.

Lucky for you, we embrace the suck, and we will gladly clean your filthy guns. We offer two types of cleaning services...Field Strip & Clean and Detailed Ultrasonic Clean.

Field Strip Cleaning involves disassembling the firearm to its major components and hand cleaning those components. The firearm is lubricated to factory specifications, reassembled, and given a functions check.

For the Detailed Ultrasonic Clean we completely disassemble the firearm and do a pre-treatment soak before giving it a warm ultrasonic bath in a gun-safe cleaning solution. The parts are then rinsed with fresh water and metal parts are "baked" dry while polymer parts are blown dry with compressed air. Once dry, we soak the metal parts in a penetrating oil to force any remaining moisture out of the parts. At this point any remaining, stubborn carbon is addressed. Every part is inspected for excessive wear, cracks, or breakage and you are notified of any problems.

Once a problematic issue is found, reassembly of the firearm stops until the issue is properly addressed. If you refuse for us to address the problem, because of liability, the gun will be returned to you in its disassembled state. Fully reassembled firearms are function tested but not test fired.

Field Strip & Clean: $40

Firearms received in any state of disassembly will require an accompanying inventory list of parts and will be returned disassembled unless you explicitly request that the firearm be reassembled and agree to the associated charges.

Reassembly Fee: $25 **This only applies to firearms that are received in a disassembled state (complete or partial).
